About this editor
Everything happens on your device — the photo is never uploaded. Adjustments are applied to a full-quality copy when you download (up to 4000 pixels on the long side), even though the on-screen preview is smaller. Text and drawings sit on top of the picture and are not affected by the colour adjustments or filters. Use “Hold to compare” to flip back to your original while you work.
About the Edit Picture
The Image Editor is a free photo editor that works in the browser. You can adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness, apply filters, rotate and flip, add text, draw with a brush and save the result as PNG, JPG or WebP.
Adjustments are applied to the image data live, and you can hold the compare button to see the original. Text and drawings can be placed on the picture, and Undo stroke removes the last brush line. When saving as JPG or WebP, a quality slider controls the file size. Reset everything returns the image to its original state.
How to use it
- Upload a photo.
- Use the Adjust, Filters, Rotate & flip, Text and Draw tabs to edit.
- Hold the compare button to check against the original.
- Choose a format and press Download.
Tips and good to know
- Make small adjustments; large changes amplify noise and artefacts.
- Add text last, after resizing and cropping.
- Save as PNG to avoid further compression loss.
