Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what information ToolBench (toolsbench.org, "we", "us") collects, how it is used and what choices you have. We keep it as short and concrete as we can.

1. Your files and text stay on your device

Almost all tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you merge a PDF, compress an image, format JSON or type into a calculator, the content is processed on your own device. It is not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see it. Closing the page discards it.

2. Tools that use an outside service

3. Information stored in your browser

Some tools save small pieces of data in your browser's local storage so that they work as you expect, for example the To-Do List stores your tasks, and some tools may remember a setting. This data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and can be deleted by clearing your browser's site data.

4. Advertising and cookies

ToolBench shows advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which may include ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

We do not control the cookies set by advertisers and have no access to them.

5. Server logs and analytics

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes technical information such as IP address, browser type and requested page in order to deliver the site, prevent abuse and keep it secure. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors. The optional AI cutout server may keep short-term technical logs (for example request time and IP address) for abuse prevention and rate limiting.

6. Children

ToolBench is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. The children's learning tools (flashcards, clock practice, quizzes, word games) are designed for use by a parent or teacher with a child. They do not ask for names, accounts or contact details, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal information about you beyond the technical data described above, there is generally nothing to access or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, or you have a privacy question, please contact us using the details on the contact page.

8. Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and its "Last updated" date.
