Moving, resizing and editing

Everything you add is an object you can change until you download. Choose Select, click an item, then drag it to move it, drag a corner to resize it (text grows with its box; images keep their shape — hold Shift to stretch), and use the colour, size and font controls above to restyle it. Double-click text to edit the words. Press Delete to remove an item, the arrow keys to nudge it, and Ctrl+Z to undo. The Symbols button adds marks such as ticks, arrows, ₹ and © as text you can resize.

What “edit” means here

This editor adds new content on top of your pages. It does not rewrite the text already inside the PDF — to fix a word, cover it with a Whiteout box and type the new word on top. When you download, your additions become part of the page and can’t be moved afterwards, so keep your original. Text in scripts such as Hindi, and symbols outside the standard PDF fonts, are added as pictures so they always display correctly. Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first.

About the Edit PDF

The PDF Editor lets you add text, images and symbols to a PDF, draw, highlight and whiteout areas, and download the edited file. Every added item can be dragged to any position and resized, and text can be edited again after placing. It is suitable for filling forms, signing, labelling and annotating.

"Edit" here means placing new content on top of the existing pages. The original text of the PDF is not rewritten, so to hide something use Whiteout and then add replacement text above it. Tools include Select, Text (Helvetica, Times or Courier), Image, Symbols, Draw, Highlight and Whiteout, with colour and size controls and Undo, Redo and Clear page. Changes are applied when you download; nothing is uploaded.

  2. Choose a tool, click on the page and add your text, image or symbol.
  3. Use Select to drag and resize items, and Edit text, Duplicate or Delete for the selected item.
