A note on JavaScript

Minifying JavaScript safely requires a real parser to avoid breaking code that relies on automatic semicolon insertion or regex literals. This tool does a conservative pass — stripping comments and collapsing whitespace — rather than full identifier renaming, so the output stays correct but isn't as small as a dedicated bundler's minifier.
